RF MICRONEEDLING | NATURAL SKIN REJUVENATION | CHATHAM
RF Microneedling enhances the benefits of traditional Microneedling treatments with Radiofrequency energy. The powerful combination safely and effectively resurfaces the skin and promotes the production of collagen. RF Microneedling is proven to improve skin tone and texture. It reduces the signs of aging (including fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity.) And diminishes skin blemishes (like acne scars or enlarged pores.) 1 Furthermore, treatments are quick, virtually painless, and patients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment. This makes RF Microneedling a great solution for men and women who want younger, blemish-free skin without surgery or downtime.

HOW DOES RADIOFREQUENCY MICRO NEEDLING WORK?
The Vivace and Virtue system combines two skin treatments into one comprehensive therapy. The advanced Micro needling device uses a state-of-the-art handpiece equipped with small, surgical-grade needles. The handpiece is painlessly passed over the skin. The ultrafine needles create microscopic punctures into the skin. These superficial injuries do not damage the surface. They do, however, stimulate the body’s natural healing response. This process is known as controlled wound healing. In response to the microscopic wounds, the body creates more collagen (neovascularization) initiates cellular renewal and increases circulation (neocollagenesis.)
In addition to creating microtears, the microneedles send Radiofrequency (RF) energy deep into the dermis to improve the skin on a cellular level. Thermal energy from the RF energy heats the tissues. In reaction, the healing response is magnified. More collagen is created, and tissue coagulates, becoming tighter.
Along with reducing the signs of aging, RF Micro needling is an effective treatment for reducing scars. This includes stretch marks and acne scars.
MICRO NEEDLING APPLICATIONS
The Vivace and Virtue RF Micro needling system repairs and rejuvenates the skin in several ways. This treatment is clinically proven to improve the following conditions:
- Fine lines
- Wrinkles
- Skin laxity
- Loose facial or neck skin
- Dull skin tone
- Irregular texture
- Enlarged pores
Treatment areas include the face, neck, décolletage, body, and the back of the hands.
MICRONEEDLING REVIEWS in SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE
Scientists and medical professionals study the safety and efficacy of this treatment. Their RF Microneedling reviews are published in peer-reviewed journals. One study, published in Clinical, Cosmetic, and Investigational Dermatology, found that the thermal heating from RF energy resulted in “skin tightening within the dermal tissue from the immediate denaturation and contraction of collagen fibers, and later initiates new collagen formation in subsequent weeks and months…”¹
The authors note the combination of RF Micro needling “is suitable…for the treatment of skin laxity, wrinkles, enlarged pores, pigmented lesions [brown spots,] acne, telangiectasias [spider veins] and scarring from trauma or acne.” ¹
The study concludes that “Since there is no chromophore dependence with radiofrequency, melanin absorption is not an issue and allows radiofrequency as a treatment option for a greater range of skin types.” And further states, “Patient recovery and downtime periods are significantly lower when compared with ablative laser healing times, with minimal adverse effects.”
HOW MUCH DOES MICRONEEDLING COST?
Treatments are customized to the specific skin and aesthetic goals of the patient. Therefore, Microneedling cost varies. During your free consultation with the Laser Skin Institute, RF Microneedling prices will be covered in detail. If this skin rejuvenation option is right for you, we will tailor your treatment plan to meet your needs and match your budget.
MICRO-NEEDLING TREATMENTS
Treatments typically take 45 minutes. Additional time is needed for the numbing cream to take effect. Patients may see immediate improvements after one treatment. Progressive enhancements are possible with multiple treatments. Most patients choose to rejuvenate their skin on a more cellular level by scheduling 3 to 4 treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. As with any cosmetic procedure, individual experiences may vary. *
DOES MICRO NEEDLING HURT?
During your treatment at the Laser Skin Institute, we safeguard your comfort by using compounded numbing cream. Furthermore, the Vivace system is the most comfortable Micro needling device on the market. Its precision robotic motor ensures the treatment is virtually painless.
